Our birch tar begins with birch trees growing right here on our land. We carefully distill the tar ourselves, using a traditional process that transforms birch bark into rich, dark, aromatic tar. We then incorporate our own birch tar into a simple, nourishing salve with organic jojoba oil, meadowfoam seed oil, and beeswax.

Birch Tar The signature ingredient in this salve, traditionally valued for its skin-conditioning and protective qualities. It gives the salve its distinctive deep, smoky-earthy aroma.

Jojoba Oil A lightweight, skin-friendly oil that helps soften and condition dry-feeling skin while supporting a smooth, moisturized feel.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil A luxurious oil that helps nourish and soften the skin and contributes to the salve's silky texture.

Beeswax Creates a protective layer over the skin, helping to seal in moisture while giving the salve its rich, balm-like consistency.

RITUAL

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and massage gently until absorbed. Reapply as needed, particularly to areas that feel dry or rough.

For best results, use consistently on areas such as hands, elbows, knees, heels, and other dry patches of skin.

Cautions

For external use only. Patch test before first use. Apply a small amount to a small area of skin and wait 24 hours to check for sensitivity.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply to broken, irritated, or freshly shaved skin. Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity occurs. Keep out of reach of children.

Note: Birch tar has a naturally strong, smoky scent and can vary slightly in colour and aroma from batch to batch. This is a normal characteristic of the ingredient.
